Rock climbing near Lake Garda

We usually visit Arco to warm up for the Brenta Dolomites but the climbing is far too good not be enjoyed in its own right, especialy now that no frills airlines fly to Verona Brescia and Milan.

We plan to climb on the steep slabs of Placche Zebrate. With the grades beginning at 4a you do not have to be a tiger to enjoy many of these long routes (up to 1200ft) they are well bolted and on excellent limestone with straight forward decents. Early starts will allow windsurfing enthusiasts to catch the late afternoon wind on Lake Garda while the rest of us relax on the beach.

The holidays are good for beginners and intermediate climbers. Those that feel ready will be encouraged to lead suitable routes.

We will be looking to go early summer and will arrange dates for this trip when summer air schedules come out some time in April. However we would appreciate early interest, numbers will be limited for this multi pitch
trip.
