High Dyon Side - Accommodation & Facilities

High Dyon Side is a well-appointed 18th Century farmhouse in a delightful three acre garden setting. Sheltered by woodland and with its own little beck winding through the lawns and flower beds, High Dyon Side provides a tranquil paradise away from the bustle of town life.

In addition to our extensive grounds we also have a full-size painted cement tennis court, barbeque, ponds, pagoda, and picturesque ivy-covered byres.

Our surrounding 30 acres of grazing farmland provide wondertful short strolls with panoramic views across the Solway to Dumfries and Galloway, and in the other direction, onto the Lakeland fells.

Accommodation

We have five comfortable rooms available for B&B accommodation, whether or not you are joining us on one of our activity holidays (for pricing see below):

• two (2) twin rooms (one with wash basin);

• one (1) double room; and

• one (1) family suite with wash basin (comprising adjoining twin and single rooms).

All our rooms are non-smoking. Bathroom facilities are shared, with:

• two separate shower rooms;

• two separate toilets.

We also have a separate guest lounge and library, with TV, video and stereo.

Parking

Ample secure off-street parking is available.

Prices for B&B accommodation

The prices above are per person per night.

Transfers: Between local railway and coach depots of Distington, Workington and Whitehaven can be arranged free of charge. Transfers from Penrith can be provided at a cost of £25.00.

Swap tales and laughs over a wine or two in the farmhouse kitchen, with the AGA stove providing year-round warmth.

The gardens are alive with colour during the Spring and Summer months, offering a true haven from the hustle-and-bustle of the outside world.

In winter why not settle down beside the open fire after a day's outing to ease tired limbs and take in a good book from our extensive library.
